APPLICATION & ADMISSION PROCEDURE

3.1 Application procedure

a)  Application Froms are available in the prospectus' which be obtained on patment of Rs. 600/- in cash from selected outlets of Canara BAnk branches mentioned in the Tanle on.1.

b)  There are twe sets of Application From (ave\ailble in the Prospectus). One from (yyelow copy) should be submitted duly filed in with all the details including attested of copice of the certificates mentioned in the Applicaon from, along with two recent passport size photographs to the Canara Bank Branches 9as mentioned in Table no.5) on or befire the 15th February 2008.

c)  For candidates intending to apply to the North Eastern Hill University, Shillong (NEHU) - To facilitate easy access for the candidates from the North-Eastern Region for NEHU, they can avail of the orospectus from designated Study centres as at table no.8 on payment of Rs.600/- in cash. The last datefor submission of the filled in appcation form is also extended by 7 days (for North Eastern Region candidates only) i.e.the form shaold be submitted at the Study Centre on or before 21st feb 2008

d)  The "Form Submission Slip" should also be duly filled by the candidate and endorsed by the bank Authorities during submission of in appcation formOne copy of the slip (Student copy) should be retained by the candidate.
e) The second form (blie copy) should be maintained by the candidate and should be sumitted to the Strdy Cantre at the time of be admission.
f) Application form reaching after the notified date will not be accepted.
g)  Photocopied Application form will not be accepted.
h) Application form will incomplete will not accepted.
i)Entrance Test ExamFees will not be refunded in case of cancellation or absence bue to any reason.
j)  The Common Online Entrance Test will be held form to 05/04/08
k)  The dateline for the test and admission is available in the Table-2

3.2 Online Entrance Test

a) Applicants will receive the “Admit Card” to the Entrance Test with the Dtails of Test schedule, roll number, allocated Test centre with address.
b) The candidate should dring the “Admit card” to the allocated test centres, alng with a photo identity proof (like driving license, ration card, passport, Voter ID card) for validation purpose, They will be allowed to appear for the entrance test only on validation of their identities by the administrators at each centre.
c) The list of candidates for whom the Admit Card has been issued will also be posted on the website of RcI by 17/3/08. The candidates can check their names from the website and in case he/she does not receive the “Admit card” due to postal delay, they can appear in the entrance test at the stipulated date/centre/time (as displayed in the list), by producing the “Form Submission Slip” along with any photo identity proof like, License, Voter I card, Passport etc.
d) Applicants echng latr at the atest centre will forgothe chance of appering n the Entrance Test.
e) Candidates wll not recevi the “Admit card” if their Forms are incomplete in any way.

3.3 Criteria for Merit List & Welting list

The University wise merit list be Prepared on the basis of the following criteria:

3.4 result Declaration;

The list of successful candidates will be drawn up as follows;

  •  University specific (Study Centre wise) Merit List

  •  University specific Waiting List

These will be up on the websites of RCI and the respective Universities on the 23rd of 7th May 2008 respectively .

3.4 Generation of Merit/wait-candidate Lists
(University/Study centre-wise)

a) University specific (study centre wise) Merit list will be Prepared based on the results Common Entrance Test, eligibility criteria (weightage allotment) and applicable c
b) Successful candidates will be eligible for admission to the Course as per the University S Merit list and availability of the seats in the Study centres chosen by the candidates. The n of seats per Study centre is limited to 40/20 (as mentioned in the battle no.7,8,9&10)
c) If the number of successful candidates for a particular Study centre, exceeds the seats availability 940/20) the remaining candidates will be given the study centre, based on the option selected the candidate and the vacancy in the selected study centre.
d) If there is no vacancy in any on the selected Study Centre’s then the candidate will be will
e) The University/study centre-wise List of selected/waitlisted candidates will be notified on-limited their and University websites.
f) The University s’ waitlisted candidates may be eligible for admission only if there are vacancy available after completing the admissions of merit listed candidates.

3.6 Admission of Selected Candidates;

a.  Eligible candidates will be admitted as per the merit list and availability in the selected study centre.
b.  In case of availability of the seats in any study centre, due to cancellao of admission or not availing by the selected candite, the admission will be offered to the next candidate in the merit list.
c.  The process of admission ends after all the seats are taken in all study centres of the university or after admission and o the notified dates by the University as mentioned (Table 2), whichever is earlier.
d.  The selected candidates will have to pay the Course Fees of Rs.15000/- at the study Centres, by Demand Draft in favor of ‘Registrar of the respective University’ 9Please refer Table 3 payment modalities), after verification of certificates and supporting documents against the originals as indicated in the application form.

3.7 Wait-Listed Candidates for vacant seats

a. The list of eligible Waitlisted Candidates University/study Centre wise will be notified through the website of RCI and the concerned University on 7th 200.
b. The Waitlisted Candidates should report to the Study Centres mentioned at the notified dates., to avail opportunities for admission in study Centres as per availability of vacant seats.
c. The candidate will present himself/herself during the specified dates with all the original certificates for verification and the demand Draft of Rs.15,000/- for admission.
d. If the admission are full in the nominated Study Centre. The waitlisted candidates will be given the option of other Study Centres as chosen in the Application Form, depending on vacancy of seats.
