was
futher
amended
in the
year
2001 to
widen
the
reponsibilities
of the
Counicil
to

2.1
Objectives |
|
The B.Ed.
Special
Education-
Distance
Education
Programme
(B.Ed-
SEDE)
aims to
dev
professionals
for
Special
and
Education
within a
briad
perspctive
of
Education
in the
two
first
century
and
keeping
in mind
the
evolving
era of
Information
Technology
and
globalization
who this
broad
ambit
the
persons
with disablility
are
oerceiveds
as differevtly
able and
teaching
is not
just as
a
profession
but a
mission.
The
programme
intends
to educate
and train
the aspi
to
become
agents
of
change
as
teacher-professionals
by
imbibing
the
required
knowledge,
acquiring
understanding,
positive
attitudes
and
netter
like
buried
treasures
in any
child
with
disability
develop
in faith
as well
as a
sense of
freedom,
self -
respect
and
dignity
not only
to
become
independent
dut also
to be
contributing
citizens
of
society
and the
nation.
It will
also the
catalyze
the
realizatrio;n
that
special
education
is all
about
child
centric,
good
quality
equcation. |
